Manali, Dharamshala and Kullu Tour Overview

Dharamshala is a popular hill station in Himachal Pradesh that attracts a large number of tourists annually. It is the principal township of the Kangra district and was formerly known as Bhagsu. This hill station boasts of a thick cover of oak and conifer trees along with snow-capped mountains on three sides. During the British rule, Lord Elgin (Viceroy from 1862-63) was mesmerized by the beauty of the destination as it reminded him of his home in Scotland. It is said that Lord Elgin requested the British Monarch to make Dharamshala the summer capital India.

Day 1

Chandigarh - Manali

Today your escort cum driver will pick you up from Chandigarh in a private cab, and head towards the “Valley Of The Gods”- Manali. The journey takes almost 9 hrs which crosses through the Plains of Punjab and crosses into Himachal Pradesh where the mountains welcome you with a breath of fresh air. Upon arrival in Manali, check-in to your comfortable pre-booked hotel for a healthy meal and over-night stay. Exotic Manali offers something special for everyone. It gives peace to mediators, inspiration to artists, daring Activities for adventure Seekers and this list just goes on. As soon as you will enter into the terrains of Manali, you will feel cool breeze already taking all your stress away and surprising you from its jaw- dropping landscapes.

Day 2

Manali local sightseeing

Upon reaching Manali Stop, our team will greet you and transfer you to the hotel (Check In time will be as per Hotel Policy and early check-in will be subject to availability and extra cost). Wake up to the beauty of Manali, after Lunch, proceed for the day tour which includes your local sightseeing. Every new beginning should be honored with folded hands and so the first place to visit will be Hadimba Mata Temple along with Ghatotkacha Temple. Later a short visit to Club House where you can enjoy some Indore activities and then further to Tibetan Monastery. Later you are free to roam on the famed Mall Road and indulge in local shopping and also try some of the native cuisines. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Manali – Solang Valley / Rohtang or Atal Tunnel

After breakfast it is time for some adventures! Wake up to the sweet sound of nature and after breakfast head towards Solang Valley. This valley is famous for its adventure activities and you can try your hand at Paragliding, Zorbing, ATV Rides, Horse-riding, Trail-rides and so much more. Before indulging in these activities make sure to understand all safety protocols and measures. Option 1. (Rohtang Pass) You can also visit Rohtang Pass – this will be solely on the discretion of the local & NGT governing authorities and at extra cost. Option 2. (Atal Tunnel) You can also visit and drive – through the newly built Atal Tunnel, one of the highest Tunnels in the World. This tunnel acts as a gateway to the Lahaul & Spiti Valley. You can make a stop at the North-Portal of the tunnel for an amazing photo-shoot. This option will be at extra cost. Afterwards return to hotel for dinner and a comfortable stay.

Winter Note: During Snowfall Solang valley sightseeing point will be covered if weather, road condition is clear and possibilities of vehicle to reach there, otherwise sightseeing up to Barrier Point will be provided.

Day 4

Manali– Dharamshala -240 KMS / 7-8 HRS

In the morning after breakfast we will checkout from the hotel. Then we will travel to Dharamshala. On route you will get glimpse of visit Kullu Valley, where you can enjoy River rafting, Pandoh Dam, Mandi outer town. Then you will visit Bir Biling their you enjoy paragliding on your own, Palampur Tea gardens. Then you will be dropped to the hotel where you get check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Dharamshala – Local Sightseeing

After enjoying your morning meal proceed to cover Tsuglagkhang complex. It is the official residence of 14th Dalai Lama which also hosts Namgyal Gompa, Tibet museum, library, cafe and a souvenir shop. Experience the serenity in the adopted home town of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama. Other interesting places to cover in Dharamshala will be Bhagsu Nag Temple & Waterfall, St. John Church, War Memorial, Cricket Stadium and local market. Overnight stay will be at Hotel.

Day 6

Dharamshala – Chandigarh Departure

In the morning after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed back to Chandigarh and Resume your journey back to Chandigarh with ever fascinating memories….
